Frequently asked questions
- How do I sign in? StepVenture supports three sign-in methods: Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, and email/password. Open the app and choose your preferred method. For email/password, you'll create an account with your email address and a secure password.
- How do I connect my step data? When you first open the app, you'll be asked to allow access to step data. On iOS, this is through Apple Health; on Android, through Google Fit. Grant the requested permissions so the app can count your steps and power quests and challenges.
- How do I restore purchases? If you've subscribed before, open the app and go to the subscription or premium section. Use the "Restore purchases" (or similar) option. Your subscription will be restored if it's still active on your Apple ID or Google account.
- How do I delete my account? You can delete your account from within the app (e.g. in Settings or Profile). For more on what happens to your data, see our Privacy Policy.
- Why aren't my steps syncing? Make sure you've granted the app permission to read step data from Apple Health or Google Fit, and that background refresh is allowed. If you've just installed the app or changed permissions, it may take a short time for steps to appear. If the issue continues, contact us with your device and OS version.
- How do I report a bug? Email us at support@step-venture.com with the subject line "Bug report." Please include: your device model and OS version, what you were doing when the issue occurred, and any error messages or screenshots. The more detail you provide, the faster we can help.
- How can I suggest a feature? We'd love to hear your ideas. Email us at support@step-venture.com with the subject line "Feature request" and a short description of what you'd like to see. We read all suggestions and use them to plan future updates.
Reporting bugs
To report a bug, please email support@step-venture.com and include:
- Your device type and model (e.g. iPhone 15, Samsung Galaxy S24)
- Your operating system version (e.g. iOS 17, Android 14)
- Steps to reproduce the issue
- What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened
- Screenshots or a short screen recording if helpful
